Do You Dare??

Meet the Mountain Dew Jam

Here are the Instructions:

3 1/4 cups Mountain Dew soda 2 tablespoons lemon juice 4 1/2 cups sugar 1 package Sure Jell pectin
Read the directions for jelly on the Sure Jell box. Get your canning implements ready, and make sure your jars are prepped and clean. In a large pot, combine the Mt. Dew and lemon juice and bring to a boil. Allow to boil for 3 minutes. Let cool slightly. Follow the Sure Jell directions for making jelly. Pour the jelly into clean, prepared jars. Prepare a canning pot with boiling water, and process the jars in the boiling water bath for 10 minutes. Makes 3 to 4 pints of jelly, depending on whether or not you reduce the liquid

INSTANT CAKE?

Follow instructions :

3-2-1 cake' or as i call them 'mini cakes in about 3 minutes':
What you need:
1 box angel food cake mix
1 box of any other cake mix (I use confetti cake!)
water
optional: Frosting or other preferred cake topping
What you do
Empty both cake mixes into a gallon size ziplock bag (Seal) & shake to mix them well
In a smallish microwave-safe bowl or cup, mix 3tablespoons of the cake mix with 2 tablespoons of water
Microwave on high for 1 minute

Chip Eaters.

 
If you have these chips at your super market get them !!! they are by far my favorite chips. if you cannot find them any regular flavor chips will do .



put them in a small size bowl so you wont over eat, or what ever bowl; just make sure you  now how much you are eating. Rule #1 everything in moderation is good for you.

 

 once in the bowl if you like lime ,

Squeeze the lime into the bowl of chips and voila !


Great for mid afternoon snacks!

I had a case of the Mexican fever

Last weekend i woke up at 7 am and thought to myself , what do i do now?  my whole family was sleeping so i decided to wake them up  with a nice breakfast surprise. I remembered the time i was in Texas with  friends and the house were we stayed made us Huevos Rancheros for breakfast = Ranch Eggs?

Anyways they have become one of my favorite heres how i make them :










 fry onion and tomatoes took me 10 mins to cut both,  a couple of banana peppers ( I'm addicted), Cilantro, and once they are a bit cooked i throw the scrambled eggs in.  once the eggs are almost done i toss in a cut up avocado and some Lousiana Hot Sauce. Salt at your own risk.




I also made toast and coffee for them :)

Finding yourself between the wall and the sword

So here's my first Pro tip for snacking. 
You know that when you are dieting you are always thinking about what to eat .. the best way to do it is to replace all the unhealthy snacks with healthy ones that taste great and leave you satisfied.
If you're dieting and fulfilling a low Carb diet here are some snacks I tend to replace the Carbs with. Also i want to state I am not a nutritionist so before following my advice I would suggest to research anything I post on here regarding dieting. 
 so to begin I have been  really hungry so instead of  grabbing chips I've been eating lots of raisins !
This kind here:

I tired the mashed cauliflower  :


 medium head makes about a pound of florets
-any combination of butter, milk, cream, or whatever you use when you make mashed potatoes - about 1/4 cup
-salt and pepper
-If you have low carb "instant mashed potatoes", add up to 1/4 cup for texture*Options: minced garlic (a clove or two); garlic powder (1/2 to 1 teaspoon); cheese

I also eat a variety of UNSALTED nuts Ex: peanuts, Cashews and Almonds.
